Russia Hoaxer Says We're One Vote Away From the 'End of Democracy as We Know It'

Townhall Media

As you know, Jen Psaki made the lateral move from White House press secretary to MSNBC host, where she got to drop the "objective" mask she'd been wearing. For her Sunday show, Psaki had on the usual suspects, including Andrew Weissman, the deputy prosecutor in the Mueller probe that cost millions and turned up nothing.

I've heard that the Biden campaign is going to lean heavily into the "end of democracy" messaging during the campaign. If Donald Trump wins re-election, it would be the last election we ever have (and maybe even the last White House Correspondents Dinner!).

We don't have the full clip, but Weismann, talking about the presidential immunity case before the Supreme Court, refers back to Psaki's opening statement about the country being "one vote away from democracy as we know it."

We were already assured a second Trump term would be the end of democracy. One congressman keeps tweeting that Trump will have tanks in the streets, and he's serious.

Hopefully, the margin will be a lot wider than one vote. Too big to cheat.

I keep wondering why Trump didn't do all of these things during his first term. He didn't declare himself a dictator. He didn't throw his political opponents in jail like they're trying to do to him. He didn't put tanks in the streets. I was hoping he was going to follow through and drain the swamp and put Hillary Clinton behind bars.

I don't think the scare tactics are going to work. People remember cheap gas and affordable groceries and no wars. They cry about democracy being imperiled by the January 6 "insurrection," which was actually just the first conservative protest to get out of hand. Lefties rioted all through 2020 and the media called it "mostly peaceful." The "Stop the Steal" rally was mostly peaceful.

If this were a democracy, Joe Biden would have been primaried by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and have had to debate him on stage, but the DNC made sure Biden wouldn't be subjected to any debates.

They don't seem as convinced that they've "fortified" the 2024 election as they did in 2020. The desperation is palpable, and it's not a good look for Biden.
